The SDB2 is a solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2012. It is the second signature model for Swedish bassist Sharlee D'Angelo who is best known for his work with the melodic death metal band Arch Enemy. It was produced in Indonesia and replaced the SDB1.
The SDB2 features an Iceman-inspired body. It has neck-through body construction with a maple and bubinga neck with mahogany body wings a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with acrylic iron cross position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez PFR passive bass pickups with an EQB-II DX preamp with two-band equalizer, individually mounted Mono-rail IV bridges, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The rear control cover features a reproduction of D'Angelo's signature.
The SDB2 was offered only in 2012 and replaced by the SDB3 which has a bolt-on neck.
