The SC500N is an S Classic series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1998. The SC500N is nearly unique among modern Ibanez solid body guitars in that it has nylon strings and eschews magnetic pickups for piezos; only its predecessor the J Custom SC-GUT is configured similarly.

The S Classic body is described as a marriage of the S series and the classic Radius, although it has few actual similarities with the Radius.

The SC500N features a mahogany body with a bound spruce top bolted to a 25.1" (638mm) scale mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and dot position markers. Components include a rosewood bridge with under saddle piezo pickup.

The SC500N was discontinued after 2000.
