The SC-GUT is an S Classic series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was among the first S Classic (SC) models. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen as an early example of the upscale J Custom line.

The S Classic body is described as a marriage of the S series and the classic Radius.

The SC-GUT features a mahogany body with a spruce veneer top bolted to a 25.1" (638mm) scale mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Rather than magnetic pickups with steel strings, the SC-GUT uses nylon strings and a piezo pickup mounted under the saddle, as on a typical acoustic-electric guitar.

The SC-GUT was produced only in 1997 in small numbers, but the following year the somewhat similar SC500N was produced.
