The SAS36FM is an SA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It was originally produced in South Korea by the World company; production moved to China for 2008.
The SAS36FM features a flamed maple top with abalone purfling and cream binding on a mahogany body mated to a set-in maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone dot position markers. Components include a SAT pro synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups with a True Duo Bucker in the bridge position and Axis single-coils in the middle and neck positions. For 2008 the SAT Pro tremolo was replaced with the SAT Pro II.
The SAS36QM is a similar model with a quilted maple top.
The SAS36FM was discontinued after 2011.
