The SA460SM is an SA series solid body electric guitar model produced for Ibanez in 2018. It was produced in China.
The SA460SM features a spalted maple top with cream binding on an okoume body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard with binding and abalone dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a Quantum humbucker at the bridge and Resolution single-coils in the middle and neck positions, an Ibanez T102 two-point synchronized tremolo bridge, a plastic nut, and Ibanez locking die-cast tuning machines.
This model was first seen being offered by Shimamura Gakki at the Fukuoko Guitar Show in October 2022, although serial numbers indicate they were produced in 2018.[1] It's believed they may have been production prototypes for a production run that never happened.
