SA260FM AMB (2008) (more images) |
The Ibanez SA260FM is an SA series guitar model introduced in 2003. In terms of specifications, the SA260FM has gone through several changes, but basic features always include a flamed maple top, Ibanez made pickups in an HSS configuration and a synchronized tremolo.
Production of the SA260FM started in Korea in 2003. 2003 models featured a nato body and a 1-piece neck, but was changed after one year into a mahogany body and a 3-piece neck. After 2005, production moved to Indonesia. Again, several changes were made to the SA260FM, including a new tremolo and a new set of pickups with the fully splittable True Duo Bucker. In 2009 two new finishes were introduced: Blackberry Sunburst and Transparent Emerald Burst.
A similar guitar model with an HH pickup configuration is the SA220FM. The set-in neck variant is called the SAS36FM.
