The SA160QM is an SA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It was produced in China.
The SA160QM features a sculpted quilted maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a SAT Pro II non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the middle and neck positions. This HSS pickup configuration is typical of the SA series.
In mid-2017 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with a board made of treated New Zealand pine.
A similar model without the exotic top, the SA160, was produced until 2011. A similar model with a flamed maple top, the SA160FM has been offered since 2012. The SA160AH with an ash top was added in 2017.
The SA160QM was available from August 2016.[1]
The SA160QM was discontinued in 2018.
