The SA160FM is an SA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It was produced in both China and Indonesia.
The SA160FM features a sculpted flamed maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Components include a SAT Pro II non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the middle and neck positions. This HSS pickup configuration is typical of the SA series.
In mid 2017 a treated New Zealand pine fretboard was introduced, replacing rosewood.
The SA160FML is a left-handed version. A similar model without the exotic top, the SA160, was produced until 2008. A similar model with a quilted maple top, the SA160QM was added in 2016; the SA160AH with an ash top was added in 2017.
