The S970CW is an S series solid body guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It was among the the first S series models in the mid-tier Indonesian Premium line.
The S970CW features a claro walnut veneer top on a sculpted African mahogany body with maple binding bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple binding and offset mother of pearl dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with a pair of CAP-CL humbuckers flanking a CAP-VM1 single-coil, a ZR2 double locking tremolo bridge with a ball bearing pivot and a removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer. Upon introduction the neck included titanium reinforcing rods, but these were omitted after the first year.
In the US market it was sold as the S970W. The model was discontinued in 2014.
