The S8QM is an eight-string S series electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013. It is similar in terms of specs to the seven-string S7421, except with a different neck construction and its quilted maple top. Features of the S8QM include a 5-piece neck with titanium reinforcement, Ibanez-made pickups and a hard-tail bridge.
The S8QM was discontinued after two years. A version without the quilted maple top, the S8 was released concurrently.
