S8QM Transparent Red Burst (more images)

The S8QM is an eight string S series electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013.

The S8QM is similar in terms of specs to the seven-string S7421, except with a different neck construction and its quilted maple top. Features include a 5-piece neck with titanium reinforcement, Ibanez-made pickups, and a Gibraltar Standard II-8 hard-tail bridge.

The S8 is a similar model without the quilted maple top.

The S8QM was discontinued after two years. A version without the quilted maple top, the S8 was released concurrently.
