The S8 is an eight-string S series electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013. It is similar in terms of specs to the seven-string S7421, except with a different neck construction. Features of the S8 include a mahogany body, a 5-piece neck with titanium reinforcement, Ibanez-made pickups and a hard-tail bridge.
The S8 was sold only in the USA market and was discontinued after two years. A version with a quilted maple top, the S8QM was released concurrently.
