The S5470F is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2008. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The S5470F was among the first S series models with 24 frets; previous S series guitars had 22 frets. It also marked the consolidation of Prestige production in Japan as the S Prestige models for the prior three years had been produced in South Korea.
The S5470F features a flamed maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and walnut Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers with special inlays at the twelfth and twenty-fourth frets. Components include Ibanez pickups with a pair of Hot Grinder humbuckers flanking a Short Tracer single-coil, a ball bearing pivot ZR2 double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2009 an updated version of the Short Tracer single-coil was introduced. For 2010, KTS titanium reinforcement rods were added to the neck which also got a new Super Wizard profile.
The S5470K is a similar model with a koa top. The S5470Q is a similar model with a quilted maple top.
The S5470F was discontinued after 2013.
