The S540FML is a left-handed S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1994. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.

The S540FML features a flamed maple top and back on a mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and oval position markers. Components include a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, Ibanez pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and Gotoh tuning machines.

The S540FM is a right-handed version.

This model never appeared in an Ibanez catalog and it's not known exactly how long production ran. The information presented here is based on individual examples that have been discovered.
