The S470DX is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was produced in South Korea.

The S470DX features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and special "S wave" position markers. Components include Ibanez Powersound pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a ball-bearing pivot ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS2 tuning stabilizer.

The S470 is an extremely similar model; the only apparent differences between the two models are that the S470 lacks the fretboard binding and has slightly different fretboard position markers.

The S470DX was discontinued after 2004.
