The S470DXQM (also known as the S470DXQ in Japan) is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2003. It was initially produced in South Korea but production moved to Indonesia in 2009.
The S470DXQM features a quilted maple top on mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with S waves dot position markers and a matching headstock. Components include Powersound pickups with a humbucker at the bridge and single coils at the middle and neck positions, a ZR tremolo bridge, cosmo balck hardware and Die-cast tuning machines.
For 2005 the pickups was changed to Infinity.
For 2007 the inlays was changed to abalone dots.
The S470DXQM was discontinued after 2009 and was replaced with the S570DXQM featuring 24 frets and a new inlay style.
