The S2540 is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1998. It is the first S model in the high-end Prestige line. It was originally offered worldwide (except in Japan), but by 2000 it was sold only in Europe.

The S2540 is similar in appearance to the S5400 J Custom model, but is different in terms of specifications. It features include a mahogany body with a quilted sapele top bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with a special "hurricane" position markers. Components include Ibanez Quantum pickups in an HSH configuration, a low profile double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.

More S Prestige models were introduced in 1999 and 2000, including the S1520 and S1520FB. The S2540 was discontinued after 2000.
