S1620 Transparent Black Sunburst Red copyright sprite

The S1620 is an S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.

The S1620 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Super Wizard neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and special S wave inlays at the twelfth fret only. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups and a ball bearing pivot ZR double locking tremolo bridge with a removable ZPS2 tuning stabilizer.

The S1620FB is a similar model with a bubinga top. The S1625 is a similar model with a special D tuner on the tremolo.

The S1620 was discontinued after 2004.
