The RX170 is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1994. It was made in South Korea as part of the entry level RX series.
The RX170 features an alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a TZ synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez Powersound pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil.
This particular model was sold only in Europe and discontinued after 1995. Another model with the same name but with a maple fretboard was produced concurrently and sold in the American market. A similar model was also sold in Japan in 1999.
The RX170 was replaced for 1996 by the very similar RX170D.
