The RX170B is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 1994. It is part of the entry level RX series.

The RX170B features a resoncast body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a TZ synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups.

The RX170 (1994–1995, rosewood fretboard) and RX170 (1994–1996, maple fretboard) were offered concurrently in the European and United States markets, respectively. Despite the similar model name these models have numerous differences from this RX170B including wood bodies, chrome hardware and different pickups and tremolo.

The RX170B was sold only in Japan and discontinued after 1995.
