The RVX220 is a solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2005 as part of the X series.

The body shape of the RVX220 is completely new, although it is based on Gibson's classic Flying V and Ibanez's earlier Rocket Roll models. The RVX body is smaller than the typical flying V. Similar down-sized models of the classic Iceman (the ICX series) and Destroyer shapes (the DTX120) were also produced.

The RVX220 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups and a Full Tune III tune-o-matic style fixed bridge with a Quik Change III tailpiece.

The RVX220 was replaced after one year by the RVX220DX which adds a pickguard and sharktooth fretboard inlays.
