The RV470 is a Radius series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1993. It was made in Japan by FujiGen

The Radius series features an offset double-cutaway superstrat-style body with smoothly rounded edges and an aerofoil-like profile with a slightly flatter top than the S series, or Saber, body.

The RV470 was the only "RV" model produced. It's similar to the SV470, which has an S series shape. The V designation indicates the use of the Viper neck which is thicker and rounder than the typical Ibanez neck.

The RV470 features an alder body with a gravure top bolted to a maple Viper neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Vintage humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez single-coil and a synchronized tremolo bridge with gold finish, a transparent pickguard and Gotoh locking tuning machines.

The R355GF is a similar model with a different tremolo which was sold in Europe.

The RV470 was offered only in the United States and was discontinued after only one year of production.
