The RT450 is an RT series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1992. It was made in Japan by FujiGen
The RT series represent a "retro" take on the RG; instead of a locking tremolo and high-output pickups, they featured a more traditional appearance and sound, reminiscent of a vintage Fender Stratocaster.
The RT450 features an alder body bolted to a maple Viper neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups mounted on a tortoiseshell pickguard, a TZ-II synchronized tremolo bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
The RT450 was available only in the USA market. The RT250 is a similar model with different pickups which was offered in Europe. The RT452 is a similar twelve-string model.
The RT450 was discontinued after 1993 along with the entire RT series.
