The RT140 is an RT series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1992. The RT series are "retro" guitars based on the RG series. Instead of a locking tremolo and high-output pickups, they featured a more traditional appearance and sound — sort of a cross between and RG and a Fender Stratocaster.
The RT140 has a basswood body (unlike most other RT's which use alder) bolted to a maple Viper neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups mounted in a white pickguard with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils in the neck and middle positions and a standard synchronized tremolo bridge.
