The RS800 is an Roadster series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1978. It was produced in Japan by the FujiGen factory in Matsumoto.

The RS800 features a double-cutaway solid mahogany body with flamed maplet top and back bolted to a rock maple neck with tuned response, a 21-fret rock maple fingerboard with black dot position markers and a matching headstock. The instrument is equipped with a Super 4 single-coil pickup, an Accu-Cast B bridge with brass saddles and 19mm string spacing, a bone nut, chrome hardware and Hercules B tuning machines.

The RS900 is a similar model with solid ash body.

The RS800 was discontinued after 1980.
