The RS520 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.
The RS520 features a birch top on a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez IBZ humbucking pickups with Duo Sound coil-split functionality mounted in gold pickup rings and a Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, knurled Tek Grip control knobs and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.
For 1985 the birch top was eliminated.
The RS530 is a similar model with a flame maple top and black hardware. The RS5200 and RS5250 are similar models with special graphic finishes.
