The RS450 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983.
The RS450 features a birch top on an arched basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super Charger humbucking pickups mounted in gold pickup rings with Duo Sound coil-split functionality for the bridge pickup, a tremolo bridge, knurled Tek Grip control knobs and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.
The initial model for 1983 had the Hard Rocker Pro two-point synchronized tremolo. This was replaced for 1984 with the new Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo with a string lock behind the nut. For 1985 the birch top was eliminated.
The RS400 is a similar model with different pickups and chrome hardware.
