The RS440 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984.

The RS440 features a birch top on a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include three Ibanez pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a V5 humbucker at the bridge (which can be split with the Duo Sonic switch) and Super 7 single-coils in the neck and middle positions, a Pro Rock'r double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut, Tek Grip control knobs and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.

The birch top was discontinued for 1985.

The RS430 is a similar model with a different pickup configuration.

The RS440 was discontinued after 1985. It was replaced by the RG440.
