The RS141 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1985. It was part of a special line dubbed the Comet Series II.
The RS141 features a flat basswood double cut body with radiused edges bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickus with a Super 70 humbucker at the bridge and Super 5 single-coils in the neck and middle positions, a Powerocker synchronized tremolo bridge, knurled Tek Grip control knobs, a mini-toggle pickup phase switch and Smooth Tuner II tuning machines.
Several related models round out the series which differ only in the pickup arrangement: the RS111 has a single humbuckers, the RS121 has a pair of humbuckers and the RS136 has a trio of single coils. All feature color-matched pickguards.
The RS140 is a similar model with a black pickguard.
