The RRG8 is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2011. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. The RRG8 was a spot model created exclusively for the Japanese retailer Rock Inn.
The RRG8 features an ash body bolted to a titanium reinforced maple and wenge neck with VelveTouch finish and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include a pair of EMG active humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with removable ZPS3 tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RRG8 was produced in extremely limited quantities of perhaps as few as six and was offered only in 2011.
