The RRG5 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2008. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. The RRG5 was a spot model created exclusively for the Japanese retailer Rock Inn.
The RRG5 features a light ash body with black binding bolted to a maple and walnut Super Wizard neck with VelveTouch finish and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The RRG4 and RRG6 are nearly identical models which differ only in the finishes.
The RRG5 was made only in 2008 and its believed that only 6 examples were produced.
