The RR500 is a Rocket Roll series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 1981. It was made at the Terada Plant, Japan. This is apparently a spot model that does not appear in any catalog and was sold exclusively in Europe.
The RR500 features a vee-shaped basswood body with a flamed maple top and creme binding bolted to a three piece maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block position markers and black side dots. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups mounted in a plastic pickup rings, a Hard Rocker Pro single locking tremolo bridge, rubberized Sure Grip II knobs, Smooth Tuner II machine heads and Dead End strap pins.
