The RGTHRG2 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It is part of the H. R. Giger series with body covered in a graphic print of a portion of Giger's painting NY City XI (Exotic).
The RGTHRG2 features neck-through-body construction with mahogany body wings attached to a maple and walnut neck. The neck has a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with deluxe sharktooth position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro II double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.
The RGTHRG2 was the second RGT model bearing a Giger graphic after 2005's RGTHRG1. The RGT42DX is a similar model without the Giger graphic.
The RGTHRG2 was discontinued after two years of production.
