The RGT6EXFX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It was initally produced in South Korea, but was production moved to Indonesia for 2009.
The RGT6EXFX features neck through body construction with basswood body wings attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and small offset dot position markers. Components include a hard-tail bridge, a pair of active EMG humbucking pickups mounted in metal rings, a plastic nut, and die-cast tuning machines.
Both basswood bodied and mahogany bodied of the RGT6EXFX exist, mahogany bodied models were originally known as the RGT6EXFX2. After 2008 all models feature a mahogany body and are called RGT6EXFX.
