The RGT42SE is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2002.

The RGT42SE features a neck-through-body construction with American basswood body wings with quilted maple top and top binding on a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with sharktooth position markers. Components include dual Ibanez infinity humbucking pickups, a double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.

The RGT42 is a similar model without the quilted maple top. The RGT42FX is a similar model with a hard-tail bridge.

The RGT42SE was offered only in Japan and was discontinued after 2004.
