The RGT42FM is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made by Cort in South Korea.

The RGT42FM features a neck-through-body construction with a flamed maple top over mahogany body wings on a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and white dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez infinity humbucking pickups, a double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut.

The RGT42SE is a similar model with a quilted maple top. The RGT42DXFM is a similar model with sharktooth fretboard inlays. The RGT42 is a similar model without the exotic top.

The RGT42FM was discontinued after 2006.
