The RGT3120 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2002. It was the first production RG model with a neck-thru construction. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RGT3120 features mahogany body wings with a AAA flamed maple top attached to an Ultra Prestige neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fretboard with offset dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio PAF Pro humbucking pickups and a double locking tremolo bridge. 2002 models are equipped with the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo which was replaced in 2003 by the new Edge Pro.
The RGT3170 is a similar model with an added middle pickup.
The RGT3120 was sold only in the USA. The very similar RGT3020FM was introduced in other markets in 2003 and replaced the RGT3120 in the USA for 2004. The RGT3020QM is a related model with a quilted maple top.
