The RGR621XW is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was a spot model which was offered exclusively by Shimamura Gakki in Japan. It was made in Indonesia.
The RGR621XW features a 26½" scale neck, which is an inch longer than a typical RG model, to facilitate downtuning. It has an ash body with white binding bolted to a maple neck with a reverse headstock and a 24-fret wenge fingerboard with no inlays. The rear of the body is finished in flat black. Components include a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge and Gotoh locking tuning machines. Controls consist of just a master volume and a 3-way toggle.
The RGR621XPB is a similar model with a poplar burl veneer top and sonokeling rosewood fretboard. The RGR621XEBC is a similar model with a bocote veneer top and ebony fretboard.
The RGR621XW was a limited edition model made only in 2016.
