The RGR1700 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom range. It was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog.

The RGR1700 features a mahogany body with a 4mm thick AAAA flame maple top with binding bolted to a maple neck with a reverse headstock finished to match the body and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and offset dot position inlays. Components include dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.

The KRG1602 is a similar model with a standard headstock and different pickups.

The RGR1700 was discontinued after just one year in production.
