The RGIX27FESM is a seven string RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in mid 2015. It was made in Indonesia as part of the metal focused Iron Label line.
The RGIX27FESM features a spalted maple top on a basswood body bolted to a Nitro Wizard-7 maple and bubinga neck with an ebony fingerboard with binding and no position inlays. Components include a Gibraltar Standared II fixed bridge, a pair of active EMG humbucking pickups and a kill switch.
The RGIR27FE is similar but without the spalted maple top and ebony fretboard. A six string version, RGIX20FESM is also offered.
The RGIX27FEQM, which was discontinued after 2015, is similar but with a quilted maple top and gold hardware.
