The RGIR20FE is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2013. It was among the first guitars produced for the metal focused Iron Label line. Like all the Iron Label models, it is built in Indonesia.
The RGIR20FE features a basswood body with high contrast top binding bolted to a maple and bubinga Nitro Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with matching binding and no inlays. Components include a Gibraltar fixed bridge, dual active EMG humbucking pickups and a kill switch.
Variants also introduced in 2013 included the RGIR20E (which is essentially the RGIR20FE's twin, except with a tremolo bridge), the 7-string RGIR27FE and its tremolo bridge version RGIR27E along with an 8-string RGIR28FE. A 28" scale length 6-string, the RGIB6, was added the following year. A left-handed version, the RGIR20FEL was also introduced in 2014.
