The RGEW521ZC is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It was produced in Indonesia.
The RGEW521ZC features a ziricote top with abalone purfling and cream binding over a mahogany body bolted to a roasted maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with cream binding and dot position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups with cream bobbins, a fixed bridge, Ibanez tuners and walnut knobs.
For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with nyatoh. For 2020 the bridge was changed to the F106.
The RGEW521FM is a similar model with a flamed maple top which was released simultaneously. These were the first RG models with a roasted maple neck. The RGEW521MZW is a similar model with a roasted maple fretboard and zebra wood top which was introduced in 2019.
