The RGDR7UCS is a seven string RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the Prestige Uppercut line. It is a spot model made for sale exclusively by American retails The Axe Palace. In 2020 a second run of this model was offered in another colour.
The RGDR7UCS features a basswood body bolted to a titanium reinforced 26½" scale maple and walnut Wizard-7 neck with a reversed headstock and an ebony fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets and no inlays. Components include dual Bare Knuckle Aftermath humbucking pickups, a Tight-End R fixed bridge, and locking Gotoh tuning machines.
The RGD7UCS is a similar regular production with a standard headstock, basswood body and maple and wenge neck.
The RGDR7UCS was offered only in 2019 and 2020.
