The RGDIX7MPB is a seven-string RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. Along with the RGDIX6MRW it was the initial RGD model in the metal-focused Iron Label line. It was made in Indonesia.
The RGDIX7MPB features a layered ash body with a poplar burl top bolted to a maple and bubinga Nitro Wizard neck with a birdseye maple fingerboard with no inlays. Components include a Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge, dual DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
A new maple and purpleheart neck was introduced in 2018 along with luminescent side dots.
The RGDIX6MPB is a similar six-string model.
The RGDIX7MPB was discontinued after 2019.
