The RGDIX6MPB is an RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It is the first RGD model in the metal-focused Iron Label line, along with the seven-string RGDIX7MPB. It was produced in Indonesia.
The RGDIX6MPB features a a poplar burl top on a layered swamp ash body bolted to a Nitro Wizard maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard. Components include a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups and Gotoh locking tuning machines.
A new maple and purpleheart neck was introduced in 2018 along with luminescent side dots.
The RGDIX6MPBL is a left-handed version. The RGDIX6MRW is a similar model with a rosewood top. The RGDIX6PB is a version with an ebony fretboard which was introduced for 2017.
The RGDIX6MPB was discontinued after 2019.
