The RGD71ALMS is a seven string multi-scaleRGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It is produced in Indonesia, initially as part of the metal focused Axion Label line, but starting in 2023 as one of the initial models in the Axe Design Lab series.
The RGD series guitars have a body based on the RG series but with special bevels and deep scoop cuts in the horns. They also have extra long scale necks.
The RGD71ALMS features a nyatoh body bolted to a panga panga and walnut neck with a Macassar ebony fingerboard with 24 Sub Zero treated fanned frets, white step offset dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic active humbucking pickups, a set of Mono-rail fixed bridges, a plastic nut, Gotoh locking tuning machines and Schaller S-Lock strap lock pins. It also has a luminescent Ibanez logo on the headstock.
The RGD61ALMS is a similar six string model with a flamed maple top. The RGD71AL is a related model with a standard neck, a flamed maple top and DiMarzio passive pickups. The RGD71ALPA is a related model with a standard neck, a poplar burl top and Bare Knuckle passive pickups.
