The RGD61AL is an RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the metal focused Axion Label line.
The RGD series guitars have a body based on the RG series but with special bevels and deep scoop cuts in the horns. They also have extra long 26½" scale necks.
The RGD61AL features a 5mm thick flamed maple top on a layered ash body bolted to a panga panga and walnut neck with a birdseye maple fingerboard with 24 Sub Zero treated frets and black step offset dot position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers, a Gibraltar Standard II fixed bridge, Gotoh locking tuning machines and Schaller S-Lock strap lock pins. It also has luminescent side dots and Ibanez headstock logo.
The RGD71AL is a similar seven string model with a Macassar ebony fretboard. The RGD61ALA is a similar model with Fishman Fluence active pickups and without the flamed maple top. The RGD61ALET is a related model with a maple-topped nyatoh body, Fishman Fluence pickups and an Evertune bridge. The RGD61ALMS is a related model with a multi-scale neck.
The RGD61AL was discontinued after 2020.
