The RGD61 is an RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2025. It is produced in Indonesia as part of the Standard line. It replaced the RGD61ALA.
The RGD series guitars have a body based on the RG series but with special bevels and deep scoop cuts in the horns. They also have extra long 26½" (673mm) scale necks.
The RGD61 features a nyatoh body bolted to a roasted maple neck with a 24-fret macassar ebony fingerboard white step off-set dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbucking pickups, individually mounted Mono-rail fixed bridges, and Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines.
The RGD61AL is a similar model with DiMarzio passive pickups and a flamed maple top. The RGD61ALET is a related model with a maple-topped nyatoh body and an Evertune bridge. The RGD61ALMS is a related model with a multi-scale neck.
