The RGD2120Z is an RGD series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RGD2120Z was one of the initial models in the new RGD series, which features an RG-based body shape with extra bevels at the top edge of the body and the horn cuts. The RGD models are built for down-tuning with a longer 26½" scale.
The RGD2120Z features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with small dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V7 Custom and V8 Custom humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a ZPS3 tuning stabilizer and Gotoh tuning machines.
Titanium reinforcing rods were added to the neck for 2011.
Other RGD models include the seven-string RGD2127Z Prestige and the more affordable RGD320Z.
