The RGAIX7FM is a seven-string RGA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It was made in Indonesia as part of the metal-focused Iron Label line.
The RGAIX7FM features a flamed maple top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and bubinga Nitro Wizard neck with an ebony fingerboard with binding and no inlays. Components include a fixed bridge, dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups with a coil-split toggle and locking Gotoh tuning machines.
For 2018 the maple and bubinga neck was replaced by a maple and purpleheart construction and luminescent side dots were added. For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with nyatoh in all markets outside Japan and China; the mahogany was retained for those two markets.
The RGAIX6FM is a six-string version. The RGAIX7U is a similar model with an ash body and Bare Knuckle pickups.
The RGAIX7FM was discontinued after 2019.
