The RGA42FM is an RGA series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It is produced in Indonesia.
The RGA42FM features a flamed maple veneer top on a sculpted mahogany body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Quantum passive humbucking pickups and a hard-tail bridge.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba. For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with meranti. For 2020 the bridge was replaced with the F106.
The RGA42FML is a left-handed version. The RGA742FM is a similar seven-string model. The RGA42EX is a similar model without the flame maple top. The RGAR42MFMT is a related model with a tremolo, a reverse headstock and a maple fretboard.
